Homophthalic tetracarboxylic anhydride (crude anhydride) is mainly used to make polyimide resins, or as raw material for high temperature resistant electrical insulating paint. It is also used to make epoxy resin curing agent and plasticizer, urea-formaldehyde resin stabilizer, phthalocyanine blue fuel, corrosion inhibitor, instant binder, electronic photography toner, etc. It should be stored separately from oxygenates and alkalis, and should be handled lightly to prevent damage to the package.
